What Are All of These Books?

The Basic Text is exactly that. The Narcotics Anonymous Basic Text describes the NA program. The NA Basic Text is a guide on how the NA program works and has personal stories of members who have found recovery.

Just for Today: Daily Meditations offers a variety of daily meditation topics to recovering addicts. The JFT is meant for all stages of recovery, regardless of clean time. The daily meditation is frequently a discussion topic at many meetings.

It Works: How and Why further covers the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions of Narcotics Anonymous. The NA It Works How and Why is a deeper interpretation the principles of recovery used in Narcotics Anonymous. This book contains the info and questions used when working your steps with your sponsor.

Guiding Principles: The Spirit of Our Traditions explains the details of the traditions of NA that keep us alive and free.

Living Clean: The Journey Continues has three parts: Any addict can stop using, lose the desire to use, and find a new way to live. “Living Clean: The Journey Continues” is intended to welcome members new to recovery and to rekindle the passion of longer-term NA members.

Spiritual Principle a Day is structured as a daily meditation book, similar to ‘Just for Today’ (JFT). Each page highlights a spiritual principle with a quotation from our body of NA literature. The excerpt is followed by a meditation on the principle and a reflection on the day.

Informational Pamphlets are free! They are short 1-3 page pdfs covering specific topics that offer guidance to newcomers and oldtimers alike. New pamphlets are added as the need arises.
